Rickenbacker 360-12 (Converted 330)

This wonderful guitar started it's life in 1963 as a six string Rickenbacker 330. It had dot position markers and a bound fretboard, unbound body, poorly repaired headstock break and a 'worn spots down to the wood' finish.

It was the perfect shape and candidate for a 12 string upgrade! I removed the neck and finish, put body binding on the front and back, made a 12 string replacement neck and used a fretboard harvested from a vintage Rickenbacker Capri (see 1958 Rickenbacker 325 Replica story also on this site) to finish out the conversion.

Original pickups and wiring harness. This guitar has seen all the action since 1984 and still delivers the glorious chime you'd expect at every single show.
